Community Campaign

Raising $15,000+ for Breast Cancer Research Through Strategic Community Events

Challenge

John L. Scott Talent Real Estate wanted to expand the impact of their Annual Poker Tournament fundraiser for breast cancer research. The goal was to not only increase donations but also deepen community involvement, create sponsor visibility, and keep momentum going throughout the year. The challenge was to build awareness, drive participation, and exceed fundraising goals using only organic outreach and event-based marketing.

Strategy & Execution

Led the planning and promotion of multiple community events leading up to the annual poker night. Created a year-round campaign with mini activations, donation drives, and social storytelling to keep the cause top of mind. Designed and managed all marketing materials including flyers, event graphics, and videos. Promoted the events across Facebook, newsletters, and Eventbrite to maximize exposure. Developed sponsor decks and recruited local businesses to support the campaign through contributions and co-branded visibility. Captured and repurposed content from each event to keep energy and engagement high throughout the campaign cycle.

Results

  • Raised over $15,000 for breast cancer research, exceeding previous fundraising records
     
  • Grew awareness and participation through a year-long series of events and activations
